Cardiology Diagnostic Imaging
Cardiology diagnostic testing is conducted by the highly trained Imaging Team at Phelps Memorial. Clair Hein, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) and Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), has over 20 years of experience at Phelps Memorial. Brandi Hilyard, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), has over 19 years of experience at Phelps Memorial. Tests are read by Bryan Heart Institute, Nebraska Heart Institute, Platte Valley Medical Group (Dr. Sean Denney and Dr. Shannon Hoos-Thompson) and Children's Hospital-Omaha, Nebraska.
- Stress Echocardiograms/Dobutamine Stress Echos
- Saline Bubble Echocardiograms (bubble studies)
- Pediatric Echo (Ages 1 Year and Older)
- Chest (to evaluate for pleural effusion)
What to Expect
Arrive at the hospital at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled test to allow adequate time to check in with the Admissions Team. Once checked-in, they will escort you to the Imaging Department. Our highly skilled registered technicians will walk you through each test step-by-step. Depending on the test being performed, plan on at least an hour from start to finish.
