The funds for the grants are allocated by the Board of Directors and are a form of community re-investment. These grants focus on health care programs, fitness, wellness, education and community betterment and are given directly to the organizations at the discretion of the PMHC Foundation Committee and the PMHC Board of Directors. Private donations and memorials that are given to Phelps Memorial Health Center are not used for the Community Benefit Grants. These donations are usually directed to the betterment of the hospital according to the donors’ specifications and wishes.
