Bike Rodeo –
The Phelps County Safe Communities Coalition recently held bike rodeos at all Holdrege elementary schools to promote bike safety. Dennis DaMoude, Chief of Police, spoke to over 470 elementary students during an educational presentation that was followed by the bike rodeos. At the rodeos 144 children registered their bicycles with the police department and also learned basic bicycle safety. The rodeos were held at Franklin School, Washington School, R-7 with R-4 attending.
