Nearly 50 children attended the Home Safe program.

Nearly 50 children attended the Home Safe program sponsored by the Phelps County Safe Communities Coalition and the YMCA of the Prairie. Those in attendance learned basic safety, particularly while they are home alone. Informational sessions included safe routes to and from school, interactions with strangers, when to call 911, bicycle safety, answering the phone and door, internet safety, kitchen safety, poison prevention and basic first aid.
