Picture donated in honor of Dick Thompson to PMHC Oncology Clinic.

In memory of Dick Thompson, his widow Kay donated a picture of three
horses running and the scripture verse: "Let us run with Perseverance
the Race marked out for us." Hebrew 12:1, to the PMHC Oncology Clinic.
The painting is hung on the north wall in the chemotherapy area at the
Phelps Medical Plaza.
Pictured here from left are Mark Harrel, CEO at Phelps Memorial Health
Center, Dorothy Anderson, RN, PMHC Oncology Clinic, Jeff Berney, MD,
Family Medical Specialties, Kay Thompson, Vicki Sisson, MT, FMS lab and
the Thompsons' niece, and Sharon Goedert, RN, Oncology Nurse.
During the seven years Dick battled cancer, he was in many medical
settings, including the chemotherapy area, clinic offices and hospitals.
The camaraderie established during the chemotherapy sessions helped his
wife, Kay, decide how to give back to that area.
"This week is one year since Dick died, and he would like this picture
so much," Mrs. Thompson said. "It has beautiful horses and a message
from God, both very important to Dick. The people that work in the
oncology area and the other patients are very important to us."
The picture also has an inscription reading: "In loving memory of Dick
Thompson, 1936-2007, His family and friends."
