PRESS RELEASE:
Help sponsor the Christian Charity Fund as you compete in the 17h Annual
Phelps Memorial Health Center Silver Run, Saturday, June 20 at 8:00 a.m.
in Holdrege, NE.
The Christian Charity Fund is a part of the Phelps County Ministerial
Association, which administers the fund to help individuals and families
with emergency financial needs. The fund is supported by area churches
and donations.
The Silver Run offers something for everyone with four different levels:
a 10K run, 5K run, and a 2 mile run, all certified and sanctioned, as
well as a 2 mile walk. All races start and finish at the North Park.
There are nine age divisions in both men’s and women’s events. Medals
and trophies will be awarded during an awards ceremony following the
race.
Corporate teams already entered include teams from: Allmand Bros., Inc.,
Holdrege Chiropractic Clinic, Grant Hinze DDS Clinic, KUVR, Hastings
YMCA, Platte Valley Communication, TierOne Bank, Tyson Foods, and YMCA
of the Prairie.
The Silver Run is co-sponsored by Family Medical Specialties and High
Plains Clinic and will be held during Midsommarfest, an annual Holdrege
celebration.
All proceeds raised will be used for the Christian Charity Fund.
