Baby
Bundles was created by Jordan Marshall, a sophomore at Elm Creek High
School, when she learned that some babies in our area don’t have basic
necessities. Since she likes to shop for baby clothes, she came up with
a volunteer project - Baby Bundles.
Jordan began by collecting funds, receiving donations from: Williamsburg
United Methodist Church, Carter’s/Oshkosh B’Gosh, Inc., Walmart in
Kearney and individuals donated in donation cans at Foster Family Foods
and Pump & Pantry, Elm Creek.
Her goal, by May, 2010, is to have completed and distributed 50 bundles.
The bundles include: clothing, blankets, diapers, wipes and soap. So far
she has completed 30 bundles. The bundles are distributed through local
hospitals, S.A.F.E. Center, homeless shelters and churches to families
in need.
Pictured here, Jordan Marshall delivers 10 Baby Bundles to PMHC for
babies and their families. They will be distributed to newborn babies at
PMHC with the help of Miki Nichols, RN, Obstetrics Leader.
