Physical Therapy

The PMHC Physical Therapy department is located at the Phelps Medical Plaza. Services available include speech therapy, general orthopedic, neurological, geriatric and pediatric physical therapy, and occupational therapy.

The hydroworx therapy pool helps patients recovering from surgery, athletes and athletic rehab, and people with arthritic symptoms. The center includes a larger gym for training and rehabilitation, a whirlpool room for sports injuries and wound care and a sports floor.

Occupational Therapy work closely with physicians, physical therapists, nurses and other health care professionals to help develop, improve, sustain or restore the highest possible level of independence for individuals whose live have been disrupted by a physical injury or illness. Common treatments include work related accidents, stroke or heart attack, burns, spinal cored injury, amputations, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinsons, birth injuries, learning problems and development, etc.
