Materials Management
The Materials Management department's primary functions include:
- Purchasing of equipment, medical supplies and office supplies
- Group purchasing and contract pricing
- Managing the store room and inventory
- Filling and delivering orders for all departments
- Receiving of supply orders
- Managing more than ten department sub-inventories
- Service to approximately 20 other department areas
- FedEx and UPS package services
- Medical equipment and supply recalls
Supply management and ordering is entirely computerized within the hospital.
