Special Care Unit

The Special Care Unit at PMHC is a 4-bed unit. Our nursing staff in the Special Care Unit are trained in advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, neonatal resuscitation, and advanced trauma care.

State-of-the-art cardiac monitoring equipment allows staff to continuously monitor their patient's status. The standardized monitoring system in the SCU, Emergency Department, Medical-Surgical Unit, Same Day Surgery, Recovery Room, and Scope Room, allow for the electronic transfer of patient data from one area to another.
