2009 Silver Run
Race Results:
The following are links to all runners or walkers, their
times, their age divisions and their hometown with the medal winners listed
in bold. An asterisk by a name indicates a course record was set by that
person this year in their age group.
The 17th annual walking and running of the Silver Run set again records in
attendance, time and weather on Saturday, June 20, during the Holdrege
Midsommarfest Celebration.
Three hundred and fifty six runners and walkers were registered for the
races and set to take off 8 a.m. This breaks the 2008 race participation
record by only 4 runners and walkers. The weather was perfect, and the
routes are fast and flat.
SILVER RUN TROPHY WINNERS PICTURED BELOW. The first male and female
racer in each event at the Silver Run earn trophies and a medal for also
winning their age division. Pictured here are the overall winners and times
of the races. From left, 2 mile walk: Scott Monthey (21:14) Holdrege and

Kearney and Miranda Karn (13:35) Holdrege; 5K: Jarid Holliday (17:11) Minden
and Jordyn Dahlke (22:19) Kearney; and 10K Neil Wolford (36:17) Hastings and
Kenzie Kaps (45:41) Bertrand. Kenzie Kaps set a course record for the 10K 15
and under age group.
