The 17th annual walking and running of the Silver Run set again records in attendance, time and weather on Saturday, June 20, during the Holdrege Midsommarfest Celebration.
Three hundred and fifty six runners and walkers were registered for the races and set to take off 8 a.m. This breaks the 2008 race participation record by only 4 runners and walkers. The weather was perfect, and the routes are fast and flat.
