385  runners and walkers were registered for the races and set to take off 8 a.m. This breaks the 2009 race participation record by 23 runners and walkers. The weather was stormy in the early morning hours, but ideal running temperature by race time.

Overall winners (and times) of the races were: 10K: Neil Wolford (34:33) Hastings and Lindsey Dobson (45:46) Manhattan, KS; 5K: Matt Wollberg, (17:22) Minden and Kylee Dutcher (22:41) Holdrege; 2 mile run: Matt Trampe (10:48) Kearney and Erica Hamik (12:13) Kearney; and 2 mile walk: Scott Monthey (20:21) Holdrege and Richele Holen (20:32) Smithfield.

The funds raised from the sponsors and the participants will be donated to TeamMates, the mentoring program through Holdrege Public Schools.
