PMHC Community Benefits

PMHC holds an annual Diabetes Fair to help people receive testing and information about Diabetes since is has been on the increase in too many Americans. Sponsored by PMHC, Becton Dickinson, High Plains Clinic and Family Medical Specialties, the fair is available free of charge. Participants are offered free blood sugar testing, an A1c test, lipids tests, and information about foot care, wound care, exercise, nutrition and more.

PMHC also provides community benefits in the form of uncompensated care, government sponsored health care, subsidized health services, charitable donations, health professionals education training and research, and community building activities.

Phelps Memorial Health Center has proudly served our community, neighbors and family since 1968. In addition to the many educational opportunities including 55+ luncheon seminars, corporate wellness programs, nursing education programs, and two-way interactive video distance learning offered throughout the year, PMHC awarded over $100,000 in grants to the following organizations in 2010:
