Prevention is the key to stopping the spread of many infectious
diseases. Handwashing is the single most important means of
preventing the spread of infection. The department of Infection
Control at PMHC is designed to prevent the spread of infections among
its patients, personnel, and visitors.
Phelps Memorial patients are sent surveys to rate us on their care. Hand Hygiene is
one of the topics that our patients rate. Phelps Memorial is compared
with other
hospitals who participate in the survey. To access the Hand Hygiene
