The Materials Management (MM) department is staffed by two full time
employees. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to
4:30pm.
 
The primary functions of the department include:
Purchasing of equipment, medical supplies and office supplies
Group purchasing and contract pricing
Managing the main store room and inventory
Filling and delivering orders for all departments
Receiving of supply orders
Managing more than ten department sub-inventories
Service to approximately 20 other department areas
FedEx and UPS package services
Medical equipment and supply recalls
Supply management and ordering is entirely computerized within the
hospital. MM and other hospital staff utilize an integrated software
system. In addition, hand held pocket PC's are used to manage inventory
counts and ordering of supplies.
