Phelps Memorial Health Center recognizes the technology needs of today’s
patients and visitors. If internet access is desired, wireless
connectivity is available from any patient room, the cafeteria, or
either lobby area. This is especially nice for those patients that are
confined to the hospital for extended periods of time, patients that
need to be able to access a work web site or even the pediatric patients
that have a favorite game site they like to frequent. It can also be
used by new parents who wish to e-mail a photo of the new baby to
grandparents or friends. The only requirement is that your notebook has
a wireless card. Most devices that are wireless-ready will have the
following symbol marked on the device.

Wireless FAQ’s
Q. What if my device is not wireless?
Most computer/electronic stores sell wireless cards. Ask your
computer manufacturer if your device will
support a wireless card.
Q. What if I cannot connect?
If you experience issues connecting while at Phelps Memorial during
normal business hours (8 AM – 5 PM), please notify any PMHC employee.
Q. Is my connection secure?
The wireless internet access provides open & direct access to the
Internet. It is advised that your device’s anti-virus and firewall
software be up-to-date. It is to be used at your own risk. Phelps
Memorial Health Center is not responsible for sensitive information
communicated through this wireless connection, such as credit card,
personal data or banking information. Wireless access is a complimentary
service that we make available for the convenience of our patients and
visitors.
