Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI or MR)

Equipment: Siemens 1.5 Tesla Magnet

MR exams are scheduled by your physician. They are available Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm.

All MR exams are read and interpreted by Plains Radiology Services in Kearney, NE. The ordering physician will receive a report with the full results of the exam.

MR uses a large magnet that surrounds the patient. This, along with a specialized computer, produces various images of the body. There are some restrictions on MR including those patients with cardiac pacemakers or those with foreign metallic bodies in the brain or around the eye.
