Congratulations
Duana Landreth-
Duana was nominated due to her cheerfulness and
willingness to help out. She goes that extra mile, helping with ER
patients so that the nurse can complete her duties. Duana is an EMT,
working with the Ambulance department. She is furthering her education to

Monica

Monica Hueftle-
Monica was recommended for Employee of the Month for always being friendly and
helping a patient with her needs. The patient wrote that Monica took the
time to make sure she was okay. "She also took time to talk to me
as a "person," not just a "patient." She is very
knowledgeable and knows her job, as well as being very confident in her
job. She should be employee of the month!" And so she is...

September - Employee of the Month
Becky
Congratulations Becky
Anderson-
Becky was named the September Employee
of the Month at Phelps Memorial. A patient's mother, who appreciated her
pleasant and helpful ways while her son was hospitalized, nominated Becky.
The nominee said Becky made sure her son had everything he needed and was careful
to answer all his questions. Thanks for taking care of our patients so well, Becky.

Congratulations
Karen Batie-
Karen is a very caring person which shows as she greets and registers our patients. She has a wonderful sense of humor, a positive attitude, and is very thoughtful of others. She is always willing to help whenever she can and works to find out answers to the questions she may have about her job. Karen is a good image for PMHC, setting an example of our "Neighbors In Caring." Thank you Karen, for your good works.

Congratulations
Lisa Yelken-
Lisa is consistently praised on patient
questionnaires as being both professional and caring. Lisa has worked hard
to become competent in Med/Surg, ER and OB. She is often willing to work
extra days when needed and is in charge on her scheduled weekend. Lisa is
a positive role model for her co-workers at PMHC and has oriented new staff to
the hospital. She is very deserving of this award and we thank her for all
her great works.

Colleen Jameson-
Colleen is the dietary leader and has a tremendous task to keep everyone's taste buds happy
while serving us healthy food at the same time. She works very hard to serve all the catered
events that are requested and always tries to serve special things when asked.
We appreciate all the work you put in at PMHC. Good job and thank you for your extra
efforts Colleen.

May - Employee of the Month
Anna
Congratulations to
Anna Hunter-
Anna was nominated by a patient's family who felt that Anna made a
very unfortunate experience bearable. "She even made us laugh a few
times," the nominator said. "It was easy for me to ask for help
if I needed it. She went above and beyond the call of duty. Anna is
an outstanding nurse." The nominator said that Anna not only helped
care for the patient, but also the patient's husband, who was not hospitalized,
all greatly appreciated her caring attitude. Thanks for all your good
works, Anna!

APRIL - Employee of the Month
John
 Congratulations to
John Finnesy -
he was nominated for employee of the month by a patient's friend. John
works in Radiology, his calm manner was appreciated during the patient's
procedure. The patient was very fearful and nervous, John held the
person's hand during the whole time that the procedure was being
preformed. The nominator said she was very impressed by John's caring
attitude toward her friend. Thanks for offering up the "Neighbors In
Caring" ways for the patients at Phelps Memorial, John!

MARCH - Employee of the Month Susan
Congratulations to Susan Dittmer -
she has been a big asset to housekeeping, and she really understands cleaning. One of her nominators said "Every time I see her, she is cleaning areas that some people don't even think about." Susan is always pleasant and has a big smile to give. PMHC knows how deserving Susan is of this award.

FEBRUARY - Employee of the Month Rene'
Congratulations to Rene' Engel -
she has been an asset to other employees in the billing office, helping to find solutions to billing problems. She calls clients and insurance companies to help find solutions to many of the problems that arise. Rene' has also beautified the area with her floral additions to admissions. We thank Rene' for her hard work, and wish her well during her special month. Thanks for all you do, Rene'.

Congratulations to Jean Nitchie -
the first employee of the month for the year 2001. She is a dedicated, conscientious, hard working nurse. Jean is a very dependable and caring individual, who quietly goes about her duties at PMHC Home Health. We appreciate her efforts and want to honor her as the January Employee of the Month!

Employee of the Year 2000
Congratulations Cindi -
What fun to watch Cindi Brestel be genuinely
surprised as Joyce Hein read her bio and name for Employee of the Year at the
PMHC Christmas party. Cindi still looked dazed during the standing
ovation and the hugs and praise from her co-workers. We think she was
the only one who was surprised! Cindi is a shining example of the best
of PMHC employees.
She is an 11 year PMHC employee in the
nursing department. She worked throughout the past year, as she
struggled through an illness, even returning to work early, as she knew we
were short handed. Cindi is mom to two daughters, and her husband
teaches at Holdrege High School.
We thank you for all your work at PMHC!
