Linda is the November Employee of the Month. Linda was nominated by a patient who really appreciated the care Linda gave to her.
The patient wanted PMHC to know that Linda is an outstanding nurse and very deserving of the Employee of the Month award.
Linda is an LPN, and has worked for PMHC for over 22 years. She works both in med/surg and helps with Lifeline, making the monthly calls, and helps with the installs. We appreciate your good works, Linda, enjoy your month!

Congratulations Claudia Philips-
Claudia is the October Employee of the Month. She works in the PMHC Education department and is always willing to help other employees with their computer questions.
She is patient and kind and helps employees understand what they need to do regarding the HealthStream on-line education and other projects.
She also is the webmaster at PMHC, as the main person putting information into the PMHC Web site - www.phelpsmemorial.com - This Web site holds lots of information about PMHC.

Congratulations Lisa Skaggs, RN-
Lisa Skaggs receives the employee of the month award due to her compassionate care of the home bound. Lisa has been employed at PMHC for five years in the Home Health Department. She has helped many people deal with the frustration of disease. She listens to the patient, and works to find solutions to their problems. She is always looking out for the welfare of her patients. One patient commented "I only wish I could give her a genuine gold medal for what she has done for me!"

Sheri Rupe, LPN-C, is the August Employee of the Month. She is always willing to "go the extra mile" for our patients. She is very conscientious and flexible. She does well working ER, OB, ICU, office admissions, unit tech, RT, etc., in addition to Med Surg - a wonderful all-around nurse.

Congratulations Bettie Akerson-
Bettie has worked at Phelps Memorial Health Center for over 35 years, as one of the original employees. She has spent many hours working for the hospital. Bettie works hard to make sure the medical records are as correct as possible. She has a great eye for detail, and is a valuable PMHC employee.

Deb is a patient service representative in the Business Office as well as working in the Social Services department. Deb works in admissions, the front desk, phone duties and handles cash receipts. She readily takes on any task that needs to be done. She has worked at PMHC for nearly four years and is always pleasant, and ready to help our patients. Vivian is the Patient Financial Services Leader and was nominated because she is very friendly and easy to work with. She is always positive and willing to help in any way she can. She works with serveral departments and serves on various hospital improvement teams. She is a wonderful asset to all of PMHC, and we thank her for her dedication to her work.

Shirley 
Congratulations Shirley Carlson-
Shirley is a reliable, consistent presence in the nursing department. She is the "hub" of the nurses station and is responsible for directing much of the communication throughout the shift. She works closely with patients, their families, nurses, medical staff and ancillary personnel.
Shirley is able to deal with multiple requests at once and does so with a sense of humor. She is a positive role model and we thank her for all her hard work and dedication which helps make PMHC a great place for patients, families and staff.

Congratulations Andrea Mumm-
Andrea has been chosen for the February Employee of the Month. She is a dedicated CNA who works weekends and is currently in nursing school.
Andrea always has a smile on her face and a willingness to pitch in and help with whatever is needed. She is friendly and kind to all patients and staff. Her caring and ambition to succeed make Andrea a joy to work with, according to her co-workers. We appreciate Andrea's hard work and want to encourage her as she continues her studies in mediciane.

Brad works in the dietary department at PMHC. He is a very dependable employee who is always at his job and ready to work.
Brad worked with a worksite transition student and taught him the different aspects of the job. He was a wonderful role model for the student and continues to work hard in the dietary department.

Employee of the Year 2002
Congratulations Allen -
We are proud to honor Allen Olson as our employee of the year! Allen has worked at PMHC since the beginning of the hospital, and he can tell you more stories about working at Phelps Memorial than just about anyone. He is an integral part of the Phelps Memorial team. Allen is the department leader for Laboratory, but in the early years, he also did radiology.
 He has continued to serve in many areas of the hospital, always with a positive attitude and the desire to make a difference for people. He is a compassionate person, who knows the work at Phelps Memorial Health Center does help people. Allen serves on multiple teams at PMHC, volunteers for projects, and takes call when his staff needs extra help. Allen is the "go-to" guy when it comes to blood draws - when no one else can get the vein, they go to Allen.
