November Employee of the Month Sheryl 

Congratulations Sheryl-

Employee of the month for November, Sheryl Olson is always willing to help out in any capacity. Sheryl chips in to help other departments when she is needed. She says she prefers to be busy and she shows it.

She is always friendly. She works with the gift committee and is quick to send a card, gift or other remembrance when needed. She is reliable and pleasant. Thank you for all you do, Sheryl!

October Employee of the Month Pat 

Congratulations Pat-

Pat Gerdes is the October Employee of the Month. Pat works in Emergency Services Department with the Emergency transfer unit. He is an exceptional employee who is always willing to help out another employee or a patient.

He takes on many extra duties while making sure his daily responsibilities are completed. Pat's work on the Nebraska bioterrorism grant helped PMHC receive funding for bioterrorism decontamination equipment. His commitment to Phelps Memorial as well as his commitment to the Phelps County area make him a resource that makes us proud to have him on the PMHC team.

September Employee of the Month Cindy 

Congratulations Cindy-

Cindy Schinzel Hald works in Early Childhood Services, helping families and children cope with the problems they face. She is patient and willing to take time with each family. She gets along very well with all the providers and the families that she helps. She is a true professional as she carries out her services.

August Employee of the Month Jeanie 

Congratulations Jeanie-

Jeanie Bajaber is the August Employee of the Month. Jeanie is one of the first employees that patients encounter when they check into our hospital. She is an efficient, comforting and steady person to have at the front lines. She is responsible for business office staff scheduling and she makes every effort to schedule around personal issues. She has worked here for five years.

July Employee of the Month Nancy 

Congratulations Nancy-

Nancy Evans is the July Employee of the Month at PMHC. She was nominated by a patient who appreciated the care and concern shown to her during her procedure. She said Nancy was very competent and attentive and she appreciated the extra work that Nancy did on her behalf.

June Employee of the Month Alice Ann 

Congratulations
Alice Ann Swanson-

Alice Ann began working in nursing at PMHC in 1969. She took a few years off to raise her family and has been back for several years. She is a valuable employee and has spent most of her career working behind the scenes in surgery. She is always willing to teach and share with others her knowledge of new procedures and new equipment. She has taken on new responsibilities in the department and is always a steady, calming force.

May Employee of the Month Mrytle 

Congratulations Myrtle Crooker-

Myrtle works in housekeeping and does her best to keep a smile on her face and a "can-do" attitude toward her work. She is agreeable when things change and makes the best of it. Housekeeping has had a lot of extra work during the construction and has taken it in stride.

April Employee of the Month Keri 

Congratulations Keri Berry-

Keri earned employee of the month honors due to her willingness to take on different projects to help other PMHC employees. She has made handouts, educational books, displays and advertising. Sometimes these requests were made on short notice, and Keri always approaches these tasks with a positive, friendly, "can-do" attitude. She has the ability to make the materials look colorful, interesting and professional, which is invaluable to PMHC.

March - Employee of the Month Shelly 

Congratulations Shelly Soto-

Shelly is an RN in med/surg, and is very dependable. Shelly earned her nominations from working with patients. She is especially attentive with kids and the elderly. Shelly takes the time to bend down and speak with our patients who are small and is patient and kind to those who are older. She is a hard worker, and helpful to assist both staff and patients. She cares a lot about what she does and it shows! Shelly also lends a sense of humor to the workplace.

We are fortunate to have Shelly as a co-worker. Thanks for all you do.

February - Employee of the Month Deron 

Congratulations Deron Urbom-

Deron works in Emergency Services. He is a positive role model for employees at PMHC and is willing to take on any job. He has filled in with respiratory therapy and is currently working in the ER to orient to the ER position. He has a good working relationship with employees in other facilities on ambulance calls, and our patients appreciate his compassion and caring ways.

January - Employee of the Month Jill 

Congratulations Jill Sammons-

Jill is the first Employee of the Month in 2004. She works in durable medical equipment, and was nominated by a patient's family members. She set up their mother's lifeline and the family was very pleased at how kindly Jill explained the system to their mother.

She is a great ambassador for the hospital, and projects good will and smiles. Jill is very agreeable and willing to do whatever is needed to help the patient.

Employee of the Year 2003

Congratulations Bettie -

We are proud to honor Bettie Ackerson as our employee of the year! Betty was named Employee of the Year at the PMHC annual Christmas party. Bettie is the leader in Medical Records and haws worked here for over 35 years. She works in credentialing and is the medical staff secretary. We applaud all the dedication and effort that Bettie has given to PMHC, and we are honored that she works here!
