MRI Diagnostic Testing

Our Team provides on-site MRI and MRA diagnostic testing services. With a combined 25 years of MRI experience, Haider, Tracy and Shanda are experts in their fields. Appointments are often available on a same day basis. The Team is also experienced with pediatric testing. Light sedation is offered when necessary as well.

What is Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)?

Magnetic Resonance Imaging is a simple procedure that uses a magnet and special computer to produce pictures of the body.

How is the procedure performed?

You will lie within a magnetic field.There is no radiation used. You must lie very still on your back for about 30 minutes. Some exams require the injection of a MRI contrast agent. Following the exam patients can resume all of their normal activities.

What do I need to do to prepare?

          Abdomenal exams - Do not eat of drink for six hours before the examination.

          All other MRI exams - No Preparation.

Safety Screening

The MRI Technologist will ask you questions regarding your past medical history and previous surgeries.

What do I wear?

You may wear comfortable clothing without metal. Hospital gowns can be provided.

How will I get the results?

A radiologist will review the test and prepare a report to be sent to your doctor. It may take several days to receive this report from your doctor.
