Physical therapists work closely with physician and the patient during the patient’s treatment. Samantha Minnick, PT states ““I believe that teamwork amongst the physician, therapist, and patient is crucial for optimizing outcomes. This involves each member of the team openly communicating with one another and working at full effort towards the same goals. I listen to each patient carefully and adapt the plan of care as necessary to meet their individual needs.”

“I treat each patient in a way I would want my own family members treated. I believe communication is very important in physical therapy. I listen to my patient’s individual needs and then develop a comprehensive plan of care based on his or her diagnosis and goals. I believe ongoing communication with the patient’s physician is also essential to good quality care.” says Andrew Weides, PT/Director of Rehab.

The employees of Team Phelps would like to wish all the physical therapists and physical therapy assistants a happy PT month!
