The Phelps Memorial Therapy Center is staffed by physical therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapist assistants, physical therapy aides, speech-language pathologist, and secretary/office managers. We offer physical, occupational, and speech therapy and even have a HydroWorx therapy pool. The HydroWorx therapy pool helps patients recovering from surgery, athletes and athletic rehabilitation, and people with arthritic symptoms.
Our therapy center includes a large gym for training and rehabilitation, a whirlpool room for sports injuries and a sports floor. Read more about each of our different therapy options below and request an appointment by filling out the online form or call 308.995.2865.
We have a variety of patient success stories on the Phelps Memorial Facebook page. Follow us there for photos and testimonials at www.facebook.com/phelps.memorial.health.center
Physical therapy is the process of diagnosing and treating individuals of all ages who have medical problems or other health-related conditions, illnesses, or injuries that limit their ability to move and perform functional activities. Physical therapists and physical therapist assistants at PMHC will examine each individual and develop a personalized plan using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
Occupational therapy focuses on helping people to be as independent as possible in their environment. We work closely with physicians and other health care professionals to help develop, improve, sustain, or restore the highest possible level of function for individuals whose lives have been disrupted by a physical injury or illness. We cover inpatient rehab, home health, and outpatient coverage through the hospital.
The Speech Therapists at Phelps are ASHA certified and professionally trained to assist individuals with a variety of disorders. If you have any difficulties understanding what another is saying, being asked to repeat yourself, difficulty eating, or prolonged hoarseness, please ask your doctor if you might benefit from speech therapy today! We are available for inpatient, outpatient, and home health therapy.
