Imaging and Testing

Phelps Memorial Health Center can perform many tests to minimize travel. Our laboratory conducts tests in the clinic setting, and any tests that must be run at another site can often be drawn here. We can also complete CT, MRI, and PET scans for many diagnostic procedures. Biopsies, bone marrows, and general surgery are also available.

Lung Cancer Screening

Phelps Memorial offers a program to aid in the early detection of lung cancer for high-risk patients meeting specific criteria.

Screening Criteria:

  • Patients ages 55-80 years.
  • History of smoking a pack a day or more.
  • If a former smoker; has quit within the last 15 years.
  • Experiences a change in cough, shortness of breath, or hemoptysis.

Our board-certified radiologists read all low-dose CT scans. Physician referrals are required for this screening. Please see your primary care providers to schedule an appointment.
