About Our Special Care Unit
Our four-bed Special Care Unit is equipped with advanced cardiac monitoring technology that allows our nursing staff to continuously monitor patients' conditions.
Our integrated monitoring system also allows patient information to be electronically transferred between several departments, including the Emergency Department, Medical-Surgical Unit, Same Day Surgery, Recovery Room and Scope Room, helping support communication and continuity of care.
Experienced, Highly Trained Nursing Staff
Our Special Care Unit nurses receive specialized training to care for patients with a variety of medical needs, including:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation
- Advanced Trauma Care
This specialized training, combined with advanced monitoring technology, helps our team provide responsive, attentive care to patients requiring additional medical observation.
