Phelps Memorial Health Center invites community members to start their journey toward better heart health with an interactive cooking demonstration on Wednesday, February 5, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in the Rex Kelly Conference Rooms.
Led by Lacey Becker, RD, CDCES, this engaging session will showcase heart-healthy cooking techniques and practical ways to modify favorite recipes for better nutritional value. Attendees will not only learn valuable cooking tips but will also enjoy a complimentary heart-healthy lunch during the demonstration.
"This education is designed to show our community that heart-healthy eating can be both delicious and achievable," says Becker.
The hour-long session will include:
- Live cooking demonstration
- Tips for modifying recipes for heart health
- Complimentary heart-healthy lunch
- Q&A session with a registered dietitian
