Phelps Memorial Health Center is excited to welcome Michaela Parrish, PA-C, to Team Phelps as she begins her new role this week as part of our new Hospitalist Program.

A Holdrege native, Parrish returns home after spending the past seven years practicing family medicine. She joins Phelps Memorial Health Center during an exciting time as the organization launches its Hospitalist Program. The program is being developed to strengthen inpatient care coordination, improve communication among care teams, and support patients and families throughout their hospital stay.

As a hospitalist provider, Parrish will focus on caring for hospitalized patients during daytime hours. She will work closely with nursing staff and providers to help ensure patients receive coordinated care and experience a smooth transition from the hospital to home.

"We are excited to welcome Michaela to Team Phelps," said Tesha Broadfoot, Chief Nursing Officer at Phelps Memorial Health Center. "Her experience, commitment to patient-centered care, and connection to this community make her a valuable addition as we launch our Hospitalist Program."

The Hospitalist Program represents an important investment in the future of inpatient care at PMHC. By providing dedicated daytime inpatient coverage, hospitalists will serve as a central point of coordination for patients, families, and healthcare providers. The goal is to enhance communication, improve the patient experience, and ensure patients feel informed, supported, and prepared throughout their care journey.

PMHC leadership is grateful for the continued partnership and support of local providers who have played a key role in the development of the Hospitalist Program.

Please join us in welcoming Michaela Parrish, PA-C, to Team Phelps.
